Most of us know the many physical benefits of exercise: weight control, lower blood pressure, reduced risk of diabetes, and increased energy, just to name a few. But what about the psychological benefits of exercise?
Exercise improves mental health by reducing anxiety, depression, and negative mood and by improving self-esteem and cognitive function. Exercise has also been found to alleviate symptoms such as low self-esteem and social withdrawal.
Releasing feel-good endorphins. Endorphins are natural brain chemicals that can improve your sense of well-being.
Taking your mind off worries. Thinking about something else instead of worrying can get you away from the cycle of negative thoughts that feed depression and anxiety.
Create the Habit.
Your willpower is the highest in the morning. It hasn’t had to go through the wringer of all of the draining tasks of the day, so there is more of it available to force ourselves out of our beds and make it through the gym doors.
Hope it helps..
